At Sloan Painting & Designs, we recently had the pleasure of completing a major project at Reserve Decatur that has left us feeling extremely proud and accomplished. The project started on 09/16/2022 and ended on 03/01/2023. This is one of the many Exterior and Interior Projects we’re working on in 2023. The scope of the Interior & Exterior project was extensive, including:
- Full exterior paint
- Carpentry repairs
- Stucco work
- Interior corridor and stairwell paint
- Patio and balcony repairs and sealants
- Metal stairs, handrails and fencing paint
- Paver repair and seal
- Sidewalk and concrete repairs
- Concrete flat work pressure wash
- Metal roof canopy repair
- Pressure wash retaining walls, retaining wall caps, walls, knee walls, and all concrete walls caps
- Gutters, downspouts, and drain repairs
In addition to the base scope, there were 2 change orders:
- Water damage repairs in units 1307 and 1407.
- 2nd coat of paint at all balconies
It was a massive undertaking, but our team was more than up for the challenge. We approached the project with a sense of pride, knowing that the work we were doing would have a significant impact on the appearance and functionality of Reserve Decatur. We worked closely with the property owners and management team to ensure that we were meeting their needs and providing the highest quality work possible.
One of the most significant aspects of the project was the exterior paint work. We prep the surfaces, repairing any damage- to ensure that the paint would adhere properly. The end result was a beautiful, fresh coat of paint that brought the entire property to life. We also make sure to use good quality paint- we trust Sherwin Williams for high quality paint and material data sheets so we can ensure we are always using the best product for job.
Another major part of the project was the interior corridor and stairwell paint. These areas are heavily trafficked, so we needed to use durable, high-quality paint that would hold up over time. A wonderful bonus was that they replaced the carpet after we were done really giving it a beautifully polished look.
